Schoolwork – Old and New

Hi everyone!  Today I want to show you an old thing I found at home — it’s an AWS Kindle e-reader!

1. What is it?

It’s a special device just for reading books. The screen looks like real paper, so your eyes won’t get tired easily.

2. What is it used for?

It was made so people could read e-books, magazines, and newspapers without carrying heavy books. You could put thousands of books in this little thing — that’s like carrying a whole library in your bag!

3. How old is it?

This Kindle is about 16 to 19 years old! It came out around 2007, which was before some of us were even born.

4. Where does it come from?

It was made by an American company called Amazon, and later it became popular all over the world, even in Hong Kong.

5. Do we still use it today? If not, what do we use instead?

Some people still use Kindles, but most of us now read on our phones, tablets, or iPads with apps like Apple Books or the Kindle app. These devices can do more things, like play games or watch videos, so they’re more popular now.

6. Any other interesting information?

When it first came out, the Kindle was super cool! It meant you didn’t need to carry big book bags anymore. It changed how people read and buy books, and started the trend of reading on screens.
